AV Linux 6.0.4
A new AV Linux 6.0.4 ISO with important security updates and a lengthy changelog of updates and improvements has been released.. For the best experience it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to update to 6.0.4 by installing the new LiveDVD ISO Image. As a second option there is also a new updater script to update existing AV Linux 6.0.2 and 6.0.3 systems with the core updates and security fixes provided by 6.0.4. Download links for both the new ISO and the updater script are at the bottom of this post, but don't be in a hurry there is a LOT of stuff to talk about!!
First of all... a honkin' huge thanks to rockhopper for taking my rough idea for an updater script and making it a reality (and then some!), and also for providing some last minute update packages as well as developing his amazing Shuriken Beat Slicer on AV Linux which is on the new LiveDVD ready for you to slice and dice 'dem beatz!
Massive thanks to ISO testers: anahata, varpa, durfnap, and rockhopper who showed me where my focus was lacking ...
Heaping portions of thanks to Paul Davis and Robin Gareus for allowing and enabling me to showcase the Ardour team's amazing work with 'Development Preview' versions of Ardour3. In addition as usual falkTX of KXStudio has been exceedingly generous with providing us with an important Carla update and numerous new Plugins ported from DISTRHO and other sources..
Allen Tate has once again very kindly set us up with Torrents so please help seed if you can... Thanks!
This release features obscurants 'diehard4' theme, I'm sure folks will either love it or hate it, don't worry the complete former AVLinux-Blue theme is still there...
