Q4OS是基于Debian的桌面Linux发行，它被设计为提供传统样式的用户界面（Trinity）及简单的附件，并提供稳定的应用程序编程接口以支持复杂的第三方应用软件，例如谷歌Chrome、VirtualBox、开发工具。该系统对于虚拟云环境而言也很有用，这得益于其甚低的硬件要求。
Q4OS development version becomes stable in about two years and will be supported at least five years from the release date. Anybody is welcome to give it a trial and report bugs and glitches.
