- Nivo Image Slider
The very first slider that came with multiple transitions. It's packed with lot of features and settings to tweak and definitely one of the top jQuery plugins of year 2010. - Quicksand
One of the most famous plugins of year 2010. Quicksand from Razorjack reorders and filters items with a nice shuffling animation. Some porfolio websites are using it to filter different clients and projects. - Masonry
Masonry is a layout plugin for jQuery. Think of it as the flip side of CSS floats. Whereas floating arranges elements horizontally then vertically, Masonry arranges elements vertically then horizontally according to a grid. The result minimizes vertical gaps between elements of varying height, just like a mason fitting stones in a wall. This is an awesome plugins and I have seem a lot of similar layout online. - Validity
jQuery.validity is a jQuery plugin for powerful, accurate client-side form validation. It is well-organized, versatile and can easily tackle any validation problem. Of course, you will still need a server side validation. - Popeye

TabDiv lets you embed nice looking guitar tablature into your blogs and web-sites, without using any external applications. This means that you can create, edit, and share your tablature by simply editing the text-based VexTab notation in your HTML document or blog post. I put it in because I think it's original and brilliant idea for guitarist. - FormLabel
This plugin allow you to display the form label inside the form element such as textarea, text field and password field. Pretty useful to create a minimal form. - SlickGrid
Quite simply, SlickGrid is a JavaScript grid/spreadsheet component. SlickGrid utilizes virtual rendering to enable you to easily work with hundreds of thousands of items without any drop in performance. In fact, there is no difference in performance between working with a grid with 10 rows versus a 100'000 rows. - MaxImage
This plugin will resize and scale targeted images to their max width according to the image ratio, the browser size and some simple options. Change the size of your browser to see it's effect. A lot of websites are using a massive background photo nowadays, if you wanted to do the same, this plugin will work perfectly. - Top Up
TopUp is an easy to use Javascript library for unobtrusively displaying images and webpages in a Web 2.0 approach of popups. One of the beautiful modal window for photo gallery I have ever seen. Very elegant and it copies MacOS style.
