MakuluLinux是基于Debian的发行，它可以在任何计算机上提供一份平整、流畅、稳定的用户体验。它包含了重新安装的多媒体编码解码器、设备驱动程序及日用软件。

MakuluLinux Cinnamon Debian Edition (MCDE) 2.0 [Updated 19/01/2015]

MakuluLinux Cinnamon 2.0 (MCDE) is a continuation of the first release, 2.0 focus on updating, polishing, refining and fixing issues reported in the previous release. There are many little changes throughout the system to just give it a smoother and more refined feel. There is also some major changes in this release, some changes
will be back ported to 1.1, some won’t. if your existing systems runs to your satisfaction then continue to use it and wait for the 1.2 patch that will back port some of these changes. If however you want all the changes you will need to download 2.0 and reinstall Cinnamon.

Theming :
I have created a new shell theme to compliment the GTK3 theme included in Makulu Cinnamon, this includes smooth rounded edges, shadows, thin border effects and some light transparency. I have also included some new shell themes for users to play with should they not like the default theme.

Wallpapers :
Makulu Cinnamon edition sports some beautiful wallpapers, I have updated the selection to include some new fresh colorful options . Makulu Makes use of variety wallpaper changer to change the wallpaper, if you prefer to manually control your wallpaper, you will need to disable Variety.

Software :
All software in this release has been updated to latest versions, 2 new games have also been included Ailseriot and Mahjong. New LightDM manager allows for customizing the Login Screen.

Display Manager :
LightDM has replaced GDM, also included is a LightDM manager that can be used to customize login options.

Wine :
Makulu Cinnamon offers “Patched wine” with D3D and CSMT support. What this means is this version is specially built for gaming, with some games getting up to 800% improvement over the default version of wine, there is also great improvement on a number of other areas including true type fonts. Users can now simply run windows software out of the box simply by double clicking exe or msi files …

Steam/PlayonLinux :
Makulu comes preloaded with both Steam and PlayonLinux, users can simply fire up steam and start playing or manually install their games using PlayonLinux, its never been easier to game on Linux …

Applets, Desklets and Extensions :
Cinnamon has a nice rich collection of Applets, Desklets and Extensions that can be easily installed to add functionality and simplicity to the OS. HOWEVER : I advise great caution when using any of these, It seems the mint database has no “version detection” function and can cause instability with the OS when the plugin is very out of date. I have spent quite a few nights repairing damage caused by these plugins. I have included plugins in the distro that i have tested myself and confirmed is working. I advise caution when adding plugins from online, please check the date of the plugin before adding it. If you do happen to add a faulty plugin that causes havoc on your system you can always remove the cinnamon directory under /.local/cinnamon which will delete the plugin and restore system stability.

Dual Menu Support :
As always has been the custom and Cinnamon is no different, this release offers dual menu’s at each end of the bottom panel, on the left you have a traditional custom styled menu that shares a lot of similarities with the almost MintMenu look in Mate, this menu is HIGHLY customizable, on the right you have Synapse launcher, this allows you to quickly access files, folders or menu items, the two launchers really work well together and compliment each other.

Cinnamon Settings center :

Cinnamon Settings center has had a major overhaul, now featuring a far more complete series of options that will allow a user to make full use of backend tweaking of the system.

New Device Driver Manager :

Makulu Cinnamon 2.0 now offers a complete new device driver manager thanx to schoelje who has completely re-written DDM.

With all the new optimizations added and Despite 2 new games added, massive system core upgrades, new themes, wallpapers, extensions, applets and desklets, MakuluLinux Cinnamon 2.0 ISO is only 1.22GB in size, that is 170mb decrease in Size over the original 1.39GB ISO of version 1.0. So you get a whopping 7GB of software, optimized and compressed into a single 1.22GB ISO image.

Reviewers :

MakuluLinux has been optimized to run on Virtualbox, But please make sure to enable both PAE and 3D acceleration and disable 2D acceleration. Ram and CPU amount you will have to judge for yourself, it ran beautifully on 2 cores and 2GB ram in VB.

That is it folks, here we have a fully functional, beautiful updated Cinnamon 2.2.4 Debian edition, I am sure Many users have been waiting for descent update for this edition. I am very proud and excited about this release, this is many months of hard work and I am sure it was worth the wait.
